This Temple with rectangular shape is at the center of Sholinghur. The Length of the temple is 300 feet; breadth 150 feet; area 2 1/2 acres. Raja Gopuram is facing east with 5 Storey and 7 Kalasams. Height is 90 feet. 2 four pillared Mandapams are in front of the Temple.
2 four pillared Mandapams are in front of the Temple. The Mandapams now seen at floor level were with steps some 60 years before. The Temple has only one Prakaram ( Corridor).
Ranga Madapam looks beautifull with statues. There is also another mandapam with the shape of reverse pa opposite to this is four pillared Andal Friday Mandapam. This was constructed during 19th Century. Besides Andals Shrine, this Corridor consist the shrines of Nammalvar, Ramanujar, Manavala mamunigal and Dhottachar.
Opposite to main entrance is Palipeetam at the inner side of the Temple. The statue of Perumals sacred feet is built on a dais. The Temples Kitchen is at the right side. The Stone Pillars in a nearby mandapam are very big and artistic. Erapathu and Pagal Pathu festivals are celebrated here.
Important festivals such as Garuda Vahana Urchavam are also conducted here. In the shrine of Bhathositha Swamy the Procession deity is seen in standing postures with Sridevi and Boothevi.
Behind Bhakthositha Swamy is the Shrine of Lord Aadhikesava Perumal. Lord Aathikesava Perumal is seen in standing posture with Nachimars. During festivals, this Lord is decorated with silver shields.
We can also see the Andal Shrine nearly. Copper idols of Alwars and Achariyars are available in the Shrine. Some of them are Nathamunigal, Aalavandar, Mudaliandan, Thirukkachi Nambi, Ramanujar. Embar, koorathalvar, Manavala Mamuni, Erumbilappan and Dhottachar Swamy.
